Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Development of New Energy Storage

On July 15, 2021, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration of China issued the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Development of New Energy Storage," which proposed vigorously promoting the construction of energy storage projects on the power generation side, actively promoting the rational layout of energy storage on the power grid side, and actively supporting the diversified development of energy storage on the user side. The document also encouraged the exploration of new scenarios for the integration of energy storage development around distributed new energy, microgrids, data centers, 5G base stations, charging facilities, industrial parks, and other end users.
