Implementation Plan for the Development of New Energy Storage during the 14th Five-Year Plan

On January 29, 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration of China issued the "Implementation Plan for the Development of New Energy Storage during the 14th Five-Year Plan," which emphasizes the optimization of the layout of new energy storage construction and the integration of new energy storage with various aspects of the power system. On the user side, it promotes the flexible and diverse deployment of new energy storage to support the construction of distributed energy supply systems, provide customized energy services to users, and enhance their flexibility in adjusting energy consumption. Simultaneously, it encourages diversified and innovative applications of energy storage, promotes the integration of generation, grid, and load through unified energy storage systems, and promotes cross-sectoral integration, expanding the application of various forms of energy storage.
